Challenge Statements

Your team must build a project that addresses one of the following challenge statements

 

1. Education & Learning

Develop a project that makes education more accessible, engaging, and effective for students of all ages and backgrounds.

 

2. Productivity & Self-Improvement

Build a tool that helps people stay organised, develop better habits, and maximise efficiency.

 

3. Community & Social Good

Build a solution that brings people together, solves local issues and drives positive change in the Muslim community and wider society.

 

Requirements

Submission

All coding must take place during Hacking Hours (10:30 AM - 16:00 PM)

Devpost
  • A FOSIS Hackathon page will be setup on Devpost (Link coming soon)

  • Each team member must ‘Register’ for the FOSIS Hackathon

  • Only 1 member needs to submit the project - Link to Github Repo

If you don’t have a Devpost account, make one now so you’re ready for the Hackathon

Github
  • Each team must setup a public Github Repository

  • The Repo link must be submitted to the Github Repo Form by only 1 member

  • All team members must contribute commits during the Hackathon

  • The Repo must have a clear, informative README describing the project

Presentation/Demo 
  • Each team will be given 3 minutes to present their project at the end

  • Judges will have 2 minutes to ask questions

  • All team members must present 

  • No powerpoints allowed! - We want you to showcase what you worked hard on building

  • Functionality
    Does the project work as intended? Does it effectively address the problem it aims to solve?
  • Creativity
    How unique and original is the idea? Does it bring a fresh perspective or an innovative approach to an existing problem?
  • Presentation
    How well is the project showcased? Is the demo clear, engaging, and effectively communicating the solution and its impact?
